Local amateur radio operators may monitor audio ì

between NASA's Space Shuttle Columbia and Mission Control ì
ì
during the upcoming flight (June 27 - July 4, 1982), through ì
ì
the radio relay system established by JPL's Amateur Radio ì
ì
Club (W6VIO).
Primary audo output from JPL will be on 224.04 MHz ì
ì
FM. Known relays are:
- l45.60 MHz Los Angeles (Mt. Wilson)
- l47.24 " Los Angeles
- 446.70 " Los Angeles (San Gabriel ì
Valley)
- 446.275 " Los Angeles (San Fernando ì
Valley)
- l47.945 " Santa Barbara/Ventura
- l46.265 " San Diego
Coverage will continue from launch, scheduled for ì
ì
June 27 at 8 a.m. PDT from NASA's Kennedy Space Center in ì
ì
Florida, through scheduled landing on Rogers Dry Lake at ì
ì
Edwards Air Force Base in California at 9:13 a.m. PDT on July ì
ì

Discussion networks will be held on several ì
ì
evenings during the flight to provide information about the ì
ì
flight and to allow amateur radio operators to participate in ì
ì
roundtable discussions on the space shuttle.
